Jude

1 chapters · 25 verses · Jude (Jesus's brother) · ~65 AD

Jude planned to write about salvation. Instead, he had to write about survival — because false teachers had slipped in unnoticed.

Overview

Another brother of Jesus writes with fierce urgency. False teachers are treating grace as a license to sin, and Jude reaches into the Old Testament and even extra-biblical traditions to show that God has always judged those who corrupt His people. The doxology at the end — "to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling" — is one of the most beautiful in Scripture.
