Nahum

3 chapters · 47 verses · Nahum · ~650 BC

Remember when Nineveh repented in Jonah's day? A century later, they're back to brutality. This time, there's no second chance.

Overview

Nahum is the sequel to Jonah — and the ending is different. The Assyrian Empire that terrorized the ancient world for centuries receives its death sentence. The God who was patient with Nineveh in Jonah's day shows that patience has limits. Nineveh fell exactly as Nahum predicted, in 612 BC.
