Prayer for Calming the Heart

Prayer
Heavenly Father, my heart is troubled and I need Your presence here, now. Speak to the wind and waves within me, as You once calmed the raging sea. You are the God who calls me to be still and know that You are Lord. Quiet my racing thoughts; silence the noise that drowns out Your voice. Let Your peace, like a gentle river, flow through my entire being from within. Teach me to keep my eyes fixed upon You when all around me seems uncertain and unstable. Grant that my heart may find in You its true home and rest. In Jesus' name, Amen.
