The phrase 'broken for you' doesn't appear in the earliest Greek manuscripts of the Gospels, only in Paul's account

Many think 'this is my body' means the bread literally becomes Jesus' flesh, but the focus is on remembrance — Jesus creating a way for future generations to remember his sacrifice.
