Jesus promises 'I will come' — not 'someone else will come.' He's promising His own return in the Spirit

Common misconception

People think this is about Jesus' physical return at the Second Coming, but He's talking about coming back through the Holy Spirit within days.

How this verse has been applied

Before getting out of bed tomorrow morning, say out loud: 'Jesus, You promised not to leave me orphaned. I'm starting this day with You.'
