About this chapter
Acts 2 — Pentecost and Church Birth
Luke — Careful historian recording the dramatic birth of the Christian church. Set in Jerusalem during the Feast of Pentecost. A sound like rushing wind fills the house where the disciples are praying, and tongues of fire appear above their heads as they begin speaking in languages they've never learned. Thousands of Jewish pilgrims from across the Roman Empire hear the gospel in their native tongues and are amazed. Peter boldly preaches that Jesus — the one they crucified — is both Lord and Messiah, leading 3,000 people to believe and be baptized in a single day.
“Acts 2:41”— 2:41
