Psalms 29 — United Kingdom of Israel
David — King of Israel, warrior-poet, man after God's heart. Set in Israel, observing a powerful thunderstorm. David watches a massive thunderstorm roll across the land and sees in it a vivid picture of God's overwhelming power. Thunder becomes God's voice, lightning displays His glory, and the storm's raw force reminds everyone that the Lord who controls nature also rules as King forever.
